Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk / HR Administrator Report to:
Controller Position Overview A well-established organization in
Clinton, CT is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting &
HR Assistant to support daily finance and human resources
operations. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who
thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys variety in their work, and
values accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism. Key
Responsibilities Process vendor invoices and ensure timely,
accurate payments. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve
discrepancies. Maintain organized accounts payable records and
documentation. Prepare and process check runs and ACH payments.
Assist with month-end closing procedures related to A/P.
Communicate with vendors regarding billing inquiries. Support
general business office tasks as needed. Assist with onboarding and
offboarding processes. Maintain employee records in compliance with
policies and legal standards. Support benefits administration
(e.g., enrollments, updates). Help organize employee communications
and engagement activities. Respond to employee questions about HR
policies and benefits. Provide administrative support for payroll
and timekeeping systems. Qualifications Required: High school
diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in
Accounting, Business, or HR preferred). Minimum of 1 year of
experience in accounting and/or HR Proficiency with Microsoft
Office (particularly Excel and Outlook). Excellent communication
skills, both written and verbal.
