Job Description Job Description Our client in Wethersfield, CT is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance team on a contract-to-permanent basis. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of the general ledger Lead and participate in month-end close, including journal entries and financial statement preparations Analyze financial data and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects, process improvements, and audits Prepare reports and provide insights to management on account variances 4 years of professional accounting experience, ideally as a Senior Accountant or in a similar capacity Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) Strong background in reconciliation processes and month-end close procedures Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
