Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Westbrook,
Maine. In this role, you will handle critical financial tasks,
including managing receivables, cash applications, and commercial
collections. This is a long-term contract position, offering the
opportunity to contribute significantly to a dynamic and fast-paced
environment within the food and food processing industry.
Responsibilities: • Process and manage accounts receivable
transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness. • Handle cash
applications, including posting payments to customer accounts. •
Monitor and follow up on outstanding balances through commercial
collections. • Prepare and issue invoices while ensuring compliance
with billing standards. • Reconcile cash activity and resolve
discrepancies effectively. • Collaborate with internal teams to
address customer queries related to accounts and payments. •
Maintain detailed and organized records of all receivable
activities. • Generate and analyze reports to track receivable
performance and identify improvement areas. • Ensure adherence to
company policies and financial regulations in all processes. •
Provide support during audits by supplying relevant documentation
and information.• Proven experience in accounts receivable or a
similar financial role. • Familiarity with cash application
processes and techniques. • Strong background in commercial
collections and customer account management. • Ability to handle
billing functions with precision and attention to detail. •
Knowledge of cash activity reconciliation and troubleshooting. •
Proficient in financial software and tools relevant to accounts
receivable. • Excellent communication skills for interacting with
customers and internal teams. • Strong organizational skills to
manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
