As a high-mix, prototype-driven shop, performance depends on structure, planning, and strong leadership. \n This Production Manager role exists to strengthen daily execution, improve flow across approximately 20 CNC machines, and elevate the performance of a skilled machining team in an ISO-certified environment. \n You will work directly with ownership to remove bottlenecks, improve systems, and help the shop operate at its highest level. \n \n What You’ll Be Doing\n \n Plan and schedule workflow across approximately 20 CNC machines \n Prepare jobs for production by confirming program readiness, materials, tooling, and inspection requirements \n Balance machine capacity, customer priorities, and labor resources \n Lead setup machinists and operators with clear daily expectations \n Build accountability and ownership within the team \n Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient shop floor \n Coordinate communication between programming, quality, and operations \n Evaluate job estimates, setup times, and run times for alignment with performance goals \n Identify bottlenecks and implement practical process improvements \n \n This is a hands-on leadership role inside a precision machining environment — not an office-only management position. \n \n Machines, Controls & Environment\n You’ll oversee operations that include: \n Machines: \n \n Haas vertical machining centers (Mini Mills through VF6SS) \n 4- and 5-axis capability \n Mill/turn equipment \n \n Software & Systems: \n \n Mastercam \n ProShop ERP \n ISO-certified quality systems (AS9100 & ISO 13485 environment) \n \n Inspection Infrastructure: \n \n Zeiss CMM \n Optical comparator \n Precision metrology tools \n \n \n Materials\n \n Aluminum \n Stainless steel \n Alloy steels \n Aerospace and medical-grade materials \n \n \n What We’re Looking For\n Required: \n \n Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience \n Prior leadership or supervisory responsibility \n Strong understanding of complex precision machining \n Experience working within an ISO-certified manufacturing environment \n Ability to inspect parts and understand quality requirements \n Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills \n Comfortable working in a small-company, high-accountability environment \n \n Preferred: \n \n Aerospace, medical, or defense industry experience \n Experience with capacity planning and workflow optimization \n ERP experience (ProShop or similar) \n \n \n Why Professionals Like Working Here\n \n Clean, bright, air-conditioned facility \n Approximately 20-machine precision operation \n Structured, ISO-certified processes \n Collaborative, respectful culture \n Direct access to ownership and decision-making \n Stable aerospace, medical, and defense customer base \n 20 days PTO 6 paid holidays \n IRA with company match \n Health and dental insurance \n \n \n Pay & Benefits\n Pay Range: $45 – $55 per hour (DOE) \n Benefits Include: \n \n Health and dental insurance \n IRA with company match \n 6 paid holidays \n 20 paid days off annually \n \n \n Apply\n Experienced manufacturing leaders can apply directly through hireCNC.
