POSITION SUMMARY:This position reports directly to the Office and Credentialing Specialist. Provides administrative support primarily for credentialing mid-level providers. This position is responsible for working with our physicians and APRN's to ensure adequate call coverage for our inpatient units. Communication regarding the call schedule must be timely, professional, and frequent ensuring coverage for our inpatient psychiatric patients. In addition to credentialing and call, the successful candidate will assist with various office functions to assist in the smooth operation of this department. This position contributes to creating a caring and compassionate environment through ECHN's Core Values of Teamwork, Communication, Respect and Caring.EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:This position requires a high school diploma, or GED equivalent.Bilingual (English - Spanish) preferred but not required.Verbal CPI training for de-escalation is required.EXPERIENCE:Experience working in a medical facility.Experience in a related setting using medical/psychiatric terminology and working with managed care and Behavioral Health carve outs is preferred.COMPETENCIES:Must be proficient in Microsoft WORD with basic knowledge of Microsoft EXCEL and OUTLOOK.Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and time management skills are required.Must be able to function effectively and independently in a work environment where multitasking is essential.Must have excellent verbal and written command of the English language and communication skills to effectively communicate with patients/students and staff.Requires mature judgment and a comfort level working in an environment with our professional medical staff.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Disclaimer: Job descriptions are not intended, nor should they be construed to be, exhaustive lists of all responsibilities, skills, efforts or working conditions associated with the job. These responsibilities and competencies listed below may change from time to time.Effective and efficient operations of daily activities for psychiatric call schedule, credentialing, BH projects and initiatives, and general office duties.Develops excellent working relationships with our Doctors and APRN's assisting with their needs and preferences related to the call schedule.Professional and timely answering of telephones with ECHN greeting and appropriately directs calls to clinical staff/MD/voicemail.Learns, understands, and maintains our credentialing process for our LCSW, LPC, LMFT, and LADC providers. Is prompt and timely with re-attestations and updating of profiles, rosters, and all credentialing files.Is proficient in the use of CAQH and PECOS to facilitate credentialing.Is electronically organized with credentialing files and able to retrieve documents easily. Maintains individual files on each credentialed individual.Is proficient in excel, word, and outlook. Assists with any scheduling needs for providers, sets up Teams meetings for BH Admin staff. Understands procurement of room spaces for meetings.Communicates effectively and professionally in all interactions with professional staff and other departments.Protects and uses ECHN resources as needed to meet departmental goals.Participates in moving BH projects forward with data collection and entry.Is responsive to BH leaders and completes projects in allotted time.Location: Eastern Connecticut Health Network Behaviorial Health/AdmininistrationSchedule: Part-time, Day, 20
