Custom Closet Installer – Requirements & Expectations Framework
Position Overview The Custom Closet Installer is responsible for
the accurate, efficient, and professional installation of custom
storage solutions in residential and commercial settings.
Installers serve as the face of our company in the field and are
expected to maintain high standards of craftsmanship,
professionalism, and customer service. Core Job Responsibilities
Daily Tasks: - Check job materials and load tools/products into
company vehicle. - Transport materials to client homes and
communicate with clients upon arrival. - Unload and inventory all
components and hardware on-site. - Follow installation plans and
drawings accurately. - Use tools safely and appropriately to
install closet systems. - Minimize waste and maintain a clean,
professional worksite. - Provide excellent customer service and
ensure client satisfaction. - Capture photos of completed jobs and
document any issues or deviations. Weekly/As-Needed: - Participate
in team meetings or training sessions. - Communicate supply
shortages, issues, or customer feedback to production staff. -
Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicle and tool
storage. Skills & Competencies - Strong mechanical aptitude and
carpentry or construction experience preferred. - Ability to read
technical drawings and install to spec. - Excellent time management
and attention to detail. - Friendly, courteous demeanor and strong
communication skills. - Ability to work independently or with a
team in dynamic environments. Requirements - Valid driver’s license
and clean driving record. - Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform
physical labor in various environments. - Comfortable working in
clients’ homes, including respectful interaction and cleanup. -
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical
certifications a plus. Compensation & Advancement - Hourly wage
with opportunity for overtime. - Performance bonuses and customer

eligible installers. - Pathway to lead installer or supervisor
roles based on performance and tenure.
