Job Description Job Description Job Title: Traveling Commercial Roofing Laborer Job Description Engage in the removal of old roofing materials from commercial buildings using hand tools, power tools, and potentially specialized equipment. Ensure a clean and safe work environment by cleaning up and disposing of debris and waste materials from the roof and surrounding areas. Prepare the roof deck for new roofing materials by making sure it is clean, level, and free of obstructions. Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and procedures, including using appropriate fall protection equipment. Assist experienced roofers by loading and unloading materials, setting up equipment, and performing other tasks as directed. Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients. Responsibilities Remove old roofing materials from commercial buildings using hand tools and power tools. Clean up and dispose of debris and waste materials, ensuring a clean and safe environment. Prepare the roof deck for new roofing materials, ensuring it is clean, level, and free of obstructions. Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including using appropriate fall protection equipment. Assist experienced roofers with tasks like loading and unloading materials and setting up equipment. Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients. Essential Skills Experience in roofing or construction. Ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights. Proficiency in using hand tools (e.g., hammers, rakes) and power tools (e.g., cutters). Understanding of roofing safety regulations and procedures, including fall protection. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
