Field Service Engineer
Location: Essex Junction, VT
Schedule: Monday Friday 8AM 5PM
Position Summary
This position requires in-depth knowledge and experience on VeritySEM, SEMVision, and Inspection systems. Customer service engineer will offer on-site technical support, diagnose problems, and make appropriate repairs for the equipment under contract in order to minimized production impact. The work is in a fast-paced environment and occasionally required to be accessible evenings, weekends, and even holidays to resolve any issues that might result in downtime for customer. The chosen individual will work well with limited guidance and within broad guidelines and technical standards.
Duties And Responsibilities

• Hands-on troubleshooting, diagnose problems and make appropriate repairs of Semiconductor Processing Equipment
• Expediently escalate issues to supporting resources when necessary.
• Maintain and optimize equipment on a daily basis to enhance functionality and prevent problems.
• Advise users of appropriate actions to correct malfunctions and may recommend changes in user
• Answer customer questions and assist customers in a professional manner.
• Perform administrative and coordination duties, including pass-downs, work orders, field service reports, system problem reports, and monthly reports. Prepare written technical reports on an independent basis.
• Complies with company and customer policies and procedures.

  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, and semiconductor processes, and relevant software.

  • Demonstrate experience using computer applications, including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
    Education And Experience
    
    • A minimum of 6 years of semiconductor experience is preferred, with a minimum of four ( 4+) years experience specifically in AMAT metrology equipment
    • A minimum of 4 years of experience on AMAT metrology systems: VeritySEM, SEMVision
      and/or
      
      • AMAT inspection systems
      • Knowledge of the Applied Materials CD-SEM VeritySEM product line
      • Knowledge of the Applied Materials DR-SEM SEMVision product line
      • Knowledge of the Applied Materials Inspection Compass or Complus product line
      • Demonstrate experience using computer applications, word processing, spreadsheets with strong computer skills on Apple and/or Microsoft platform
      • Ability to manage multiple projects while effectively meeting deadlines
        Physical Requirements
        
        • On-site support of the systems under contract, in a cleanroom environment.
        • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
        • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
        • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
