O&R Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and versatile
candidate to join the Trumbull O&R engineering team. Primary
responsibilities are as follows:
--- Works with a team of design and manufacturing engineers in
support of Trumbull O&R operations to meet O&R delivery and
financial requirements.
--- Develops repairs for transmissions, rotors, landing gear,
hydraulics and airframe across a variety of Sikorsky platforms
(S-92, CH-148, S-76, S-61 & S-70).
--- Supports development and review of Solumina process
planning.
--- Responsible for assisting implementation of Digital
Transformation efforts at Trumbull O&R.
--- Lead or assist projects that help improve engineering
efficiency, identify scrap reduction opportunities, and reduce
cost.
--- Responsible for reviewing and signing off technical data in
support of repair development for a wide variety of aircraft models
and disciplines (OREI/FREI/ORI/EI/TEM, etc).
--- Responsible for maintaining/updating commercial pubs in
coordination with tech pubs.
--- Leads investigation activity as directed by or in support of
programs, design engineering, or flight safety.
--- Ensures O&R projects and repairs are cost effective and
necessary to support operations.
--- Assists in training/mentoring of new hires and interns.
--- Provides commercial field support and ensures development of
field repairs are executed within aftermarket engineering
contracted timeframes.
--- Supports development asset work and ensures it is completed on
time to support program test schedule.
--- Frequently works and coordinates with operations, quality,
functional engineering, and program management.

Basic Qualifications:
--- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related
discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9
years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional
experience with a related Masters degree
--- 5+ years' experience of rotary wing manufacturing or design
engineering
--- Proven technical expertise in transmissions, rotors,
hydraulics, flight controls, or sub-systems
Desired Skills:
--- Aftermarket (field or repair station), MRB, or structural
analysis experience is highly desirable
--- Experience with Solumina G7
--- Familiarity with FAA/EASA Repair station rules
--- Operations support experience
--- Data Analytics or programming experience
