Exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to apply their skills supporting our mechanical engineering teams across several diverse development projects to include various solider systems, targeting, airborne systems, and the test equipment to support these products. Ongoing projects include weapon sights, handheld targeting systems, armored vehicle and turret development and integration, helmet mounted display systems for soldiers and pilots, and missile warning systems.

The Successful Candidate Is Expected To Present Knowledge And a Track Record In The Following Essential Functions

Successful candidates will be working with and supporting the mechanical design team for one or more projects. Responsibilities include mechanical system concept development, detailed mechanical design and analysis, as well as test and evaluation at the component and system level.

  • Skilled in the use of solid modeling CAD tools, specifically SolidWorks, for design and drafting.
  • Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing methods and conventions in accordance with ASME 14.5-2009.
  • Fundamental modeling and analytical understanding of static and dynamic mechanical properties (e.g. stress, torque, natural frequency, damping, thermal expansion, etc.)
  • Specification and design of electro-mechanical mechanisms and components
  • Understanding of advanced electro-mechanical systems: servos, positioning systems, piezoelectric devices, position feedback devices
  • Ability to generate required documentation including detailed drawings, design reports, assembly procedures, bills-of-material, test procedures, etc.
  • MS Office, including MS Project & Visio
  • Thermal/Structural analysis using FEA, specifically ANSYS Workbench.
    • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, an equivalent scientific discipline.
    • Applicants must be a US citizen.
    • Hands-on mechanical design, integration, and test skills.
