We are looking for a Design Engineerto join us at medmix. This exciting opportunity will allow you use your skills to identify areas of improvement and propose recommendations to management. You will lead and drive the implementation of your recommendations and assess its impact to the business. Job Description

Main accountabilities and tasks

  • Evaluate customer requirements and translates problems into solutions
  • Designs potential solutions with Solidworks
  • Creates prototypes of new products and tests functionality
  • Respond to questions and inquiries from the customer regarding technical problems and issues
  • Manage non-conformances by gathering information, assessing root cause, creates short and/or long-term containment and/or action measures, and creates Corrective Action Reports
  • Creates assembly instruction sheets for customer specific products and configuration
  • Support tooling repairs and maintenance for local operations team Qualifications

    Desired experience and qualifications

    Work experience: 10+ years of experience in a related Engineering position

    Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or commensurate years' experience

    Other:
    • Experience using design software (Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Solid Edge)
    • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and tolerances
    • Experience in rapid prototyping including 3D printed and machined parts produced both internally and with external vendors.
    • Ability to create presentations using MS PowerPoint
    • Ability to create and modify data utilizing MS Excel
    • Injection Molding experience is preferred
    • Ability to prioritize in rapidly changing environment
    • Creative, collaborative, and prepared to take calculated risks
