DetailsPOSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the design and development
of new or improved aerial delivery products that enhance or provide
solutions for customers, or that resolve aerial delivery
challenges.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:The Electromechanical Design
Engineer is responsible and accountable to the Director of
Engineering for completing assigned duties. To fulfill that role,
the Electromechanical Design Engineer must:Design and develop
innovative solutions to complex electromechanical challenges
associated with aerial delivery.Team with Capewell engineers and
manufacturing experts in problem solving and solution
development.Use math and science to solve different and difficult
technical problems.Ensure that assigned activities are fully
completed in a timely, understandable, and auditable way and
conform to the company quality and safety requirements.Make plans
using detailed drawings; create accurate project
specifications.Prepare estimates and budgets.Design experiments;
conduct engineering analysis.Create engineering proposals as
required.Generate designs, technical reports, programs, drawings,
and bills of materials, as required.Contribute to Design Reviews
and other engineering design processes.Communicate effectively with
internal and external stakeholders, customers, and
teammates.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:Must possess an
Undergraduate Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and
have minimum 3 years Engineering experience.Highly preferred
experiences: military/aerospace design, sensor system design,
battery operated components, programming, and testing (structural
and electrical).Prefer experience in a manufacturing
environment.Prefer experience with Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD
software.Prefer experience with Visual Manufacturing or similar ERP
software.Must have effective communication and presentation
skills.Must be highly organized and have excellent problem-solving
abilities.Must be able to travel to customer and company
facilities, and other locations on an occasional basis.Interested
