Job Description:
The Solution Consultant Configuration Engineer resource works
directly with the Solution Consultant and Product Management teams
to develop the live solution demonstration platforms for all the
healthcare applications. This includes building, maintaining, and
upgrading all applications for the Solution Consultant
demonstration environments. This role is instrumental in
progressing and securing new business. The focus is on ensuring a
single customer experience that provides customers confidence in
meeting objectives through displaying the value proposition by
providing functional demonstration environments.
Responsibilities include understanding of all healthcare
applications, value propositions, workflows, technical build,
interoperability, current state, future roadmap, and demonstration
environments. The Configuration Engineer is responsible for
maintaining the demonstration environment and continuing to stay
ahead of planning for new features, new applications, and testing
release. The Configuration Engineer must keep a vision of the
outcomes for individual applications while driving a seamless
cross-product customer demonstration experience.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Obtain a working knowledge of all healthcare applications and cloud
infrastructure.
Apply domain knowledge to design and create demo use cases and
environments tailored to different market segments and needs.
Build, maintain, and upgrade Nuance applications in various EMRs
with functioning interoperability with a focus on automation of
maintenance for the environments.
Understand tools used to inject cases into a demo environment
examples: Mirth, Postman, HL7 and SFTP.
Be a technical customer advocate connecting often with Professional
Services, Engineering, and Product Management to ensure product
roadmaps accurately reflect customer needs and market
directions.
Organize and create tracking tickets for needed work with
R&D.
Monitor upcoming releases and prepare environments for testing.
Participate as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on application
planning calls to ensure testing for demonstration environments and
new functional is prepared for the solution consultant team.
Subject Matter Expert to the Solution Consultant about current and
future capabilities for healthcare demonstration applications and
cloud security.
Contribute to organizational process improvement, including
processes related to developing use cases and technical
knowledge.
Perform tasks related to securing and keeping the applications,
tools, and processes current and secure.
Provide input into product and research direction by establishing
technical requirements for demonstration environments, sharing
market feedback with product management, and providing feedback on
product roadmaps and release definitions.
Maintain a deep and ongoing understanding of our technology,
including the user interface, integration methods, business rules,
and limitations of the technology.
Attend industry tradeshows or conferences to both interact with
prospects and support set-up and demonstrations as needed.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Required Education:
Education: BS IT/CS/Engineering Bachelor's degree or equivalent
experience
Minimum years of work experience: A minimum of 10 years of
healthcare technical and customer support roles with increasing
responsibility

appropriately in a fast moving, constantly changing work
environment
Knows when to escalate issues as appropriate for the situation
Exceptional competence in the use of Microsoft Office products,
Azure databases, JIRA, configuration files, Power BI, Postman,
MIRTH, and editing scripts
Use and understanding of HL7 Standard messaging
Competence and Experience leveraging Salesforce as the central hub
for Sales process
Creative problem solving while adapting to a wide variety of sales,
functional, and technical situations
Quickly understand and execute projects
Ability to teach team members new skills
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills including the ability
to work in a team, move projects forward individually, and make
suggestions for improvement
Preferred Skills:
Experience with educating or training non-technical team
members
CompTIA Security+ certification
Relevant healthcare industry experience
Basic understanding of Voice Biometrics and Speech Recognition
Basic understanding of web development technologies (Java, Tagging,
Analytics)
Basic understanding of analytics
