Ametek, Inc.Job description: YOUR IMPACT:The Mechanical Engineer is capable of researching, planning, and designing mechanical and electromechanical products and systems, leads and coordinates activities involved in design, documentation, drawings, fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems. KEY RESPONSIBLITIES: Independently develops, designs, analyzes and validates new and existing sensor products.Responsible for implementation of new products within operational, cost, timing, safety, reliability, quality and manufacturing feasibility parameters.Interface and coordinate activities with Sales & Marketing as required.Investigates and resolves product and assembly problems with minimal guidance utilizing 8d's and other problem solving tools.Supports prototype manufacturing and build activities.Actively participates in continuous product improvements and innovation objectives.Provide sub-contractor and vendor support.Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferrably BSME.Five years of applicable experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Ability to work in a small team environment.Knowledge with MS office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), 3D CAD (Solidworks preferred), 2D CAD (AutoCAD preferred) software and other engineering software applications.Knowledge and experience with the use of business systems, such as Oracle, is highly desirable.Excellent communication skills, written and oral, as well as exceptional design documentation and project organizational skills.Self-motivated, able to work under little supervision, able to adapt to changing priorities, design requirements and easily transition between projects to meet department objectives.The salary range for this role is $78,000 - $96,000. #CareForTomorrowAt AMETEK STC we believe in building a sustainable future for our customers, colleagues, suppliers, and the communities in which we operate.
