Job Description:

Experienced Suspension Design Engineer
Design suspension parts and systems that meet targeted schedules and deliver outstanding performance, quality, reliability, value, and enjoyment to Honda's customers.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Achieve performance, quality, cost, and delivery targets by:
  
  • 
    
  • Confirming supplier part/assembly designs and/or modeling parts and systems in 3D and releasing 2D drawings and specifications using CATIA & MS office.
    
  • Thinking critically and applying fundamental engineering principles to complex targets.
    
  • Planning and coordinating activities with other design, test, factory, purchasing, and suppliers.
    
  • Creating own schedules with milestones and trigger points, and sharing with related groups.
    
  • Leading meetings and/or giving constructive thoughts while keeping track of open items.
    
  • Reviewing costs to ensure they meet design intentions and providing solutions if they do not.
    
    
  • Proactively sharing development progress with function members, Chief, PL, and TE to confirm proper direction, successful completion, or raise awareness of concerns.
    
  • Completing all required training and sharing best practices with peers.
    
  • Creating value and innovation through studying technical trends and new technology, considering more efficient processes to support work, making proposals that create new value for the department, Honda, or customers, and confirming application of development strategies for the area of responsibility.
    
    
    Requirements
    
    • 
      
    • University degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
      
    • 3+ years of experience in automotive suspension component and system design, or closely related.
      
    • CAD software (CATIA V5/V6) with Kinematics or closely related, Microsoft Office.
      
      
      Working Conditions
      
      • 
        
      • Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, driving.
        
      • Ability to lift components
        
      • Ability to travel may be required,
        
      • Ability to work overtime may be required.
