Job Description Job Description CNC Machinist - OD/ID Grinder Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with expertise in OD/ID grinding to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and running a CNC OD/ID Grinder using G&M codes in a job shop environment. Responsibilities Program, set up, operate, and run a CNC OD/ID Grinder using G&M codes. Run programs and perform machine set-ups, adjustments, tear-downs, change-overs, and tool changes. Use GD&T and read blueprints daily to meet part specifications. Troubleshoot machine errors and perform upkeep. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years experience in operating, setting up, and programming CNCs in a job shop environment. Experience with CNC machines and OD/ID grinders. Programming capabilities at the machine, with support from AutoCAD and Master CAM for more complex jobs. Set up and tear down experience, with the ability to perform these tasks multiple times per shift as required. Experience working with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance), with tolerances tighter than those in aeronautic and medical industries. Proficiency in G & M Code (Machine Control Language). Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Mazak Machines using Mazatrol Systems. Familiarity with Fanuc, OSP5000 Okuma, and Heidenhain systems.
