As one of the leading providers of childrens behavioral health services in the state, and one of the few who run a psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF) our Eagle House we are pleased to announce that we are expanding this program to serve even more children. Eagle House provides residential behavioral health treatment for children ages 6-12 who are transitioning from psychiatric hospitalization. Serving as a "step-down," Eagle House helps prepare them for community-based treatment and a family or foster care setting. Residents attend school onsite and receive intensive clinical support services, including ongoing nursing and psychiatry, family, group and individual therapy, and case management. Professional staff at Eagle House use an active engagement/coaching/trauma-informed model of care to build relationships with the youth in order to stabilize them, help them improve overall functioning, and build the skills necessary to transition into a family successfully and permanently. JOB SUMMARY The Assistant Program Director is responsible for the coordination and implementation of a psychiatric residential treatment program. He/she will ensure safe, therapeutic programming and trauma focused clinical treatment for children ages 6-12 and their families; oversight of hiring, scheduling, training and performance management of staff; provide clinical case consultation and assist Program Director in quality assurance and maintaining license, accreditation, and On-call responsibilities. RESPONSIBILITIES Supervisory/Leadership Coordination and direct provision of training for child development, clinical and supervisory staff. Provide on-call support and crisis intervention to program. Participate as member of multi-disciplinary treatment team. Ensure programs meet all licensing regulations and accreditation standards. Client Oversight Responsible for coordination of clinical and milieu treatment for clients. Provide clinical case coverage as needed. Additional duties as assigned. Administrative Ensures all program documentation is completed on time and in accordance with all regulatory requirements (Medicaid, DCF, etc). Monitor budget line items in collaboration with Senior Program Director. Experience and Skills: MSW/MA in clinical field and clinical license required (LCSW, LMFT, LPC). Must have a clean and valid drivers license Minimum of two years of residential supervisory experience. Experience with children with emotional, behavioral and psychiatric issues required. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with diverse community agencies and programs. Strong written and oral communication skills, supervisory and managerial skills required. Cultural competency to serve diverse client population. Physically able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
