Job Description:
The Associate Director, Aftermarket Sales partners with the
aftermarket campaign sales lead, and key business stakeholders to
negotiate and secure long term maintenance contracts with
commercial airline customers, within a designated region.The
Associate Director is a key liaison between our airline customers
and Collins Aerospace who identifies customer opportunities and
clearly communicates findings to appropriate partners.Primary
Responsibilities:
- Develop strong relationships within the Power and Controls
strategic business unit, with the Customer and Account Management
Sales organization to identify and validate opportunities to
capture long-term customer commitments in support of Power &
Controls (P&C) Aftermarket business objectives.
- Strategize and lead efforts to develop and deliver a robust
value proposition, tailored to individual customer needs, and
differentiating Collins' aftermarket services from the
competition.
- Lead cross-functional proposal development efforts within
P&C to ensure timely and complete delivery of proposals which
maximize aftermarket profits, mitigate risks, and provide winning
value to the customer
- Develop negotiation strategies, support, and as necessary, lead
negotiations directly with the customer as the Power & Controls
aftermarket business expert
- Maintain industry, customer and competitor awareness and
monitor landscape to ensure Power & Controls aftermarket services
portfolio remains relevant and competitive.Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 12 years of relevant experience OR
- Advance degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR
- In absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience is
required
- Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card"
holderPreferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Aerospace aftermarket Sales and
Customer Service highly preferred, ideally with a focus on
flight-hour based service programs
- Demonstrated experience anticipating Airline customer needs to
win business and drive results
- Experience managing competing demands, working multiple
projects and meeting tight deadlines
- Demonstrated experience with negotiating long-term commercial
contracts
- Experience analyzing and solving complex problems to build
business and drive results
- Experience anticipating future consequences and trends
