Company: Protos Security Location: Norwalk, CT Job Title: Vendor Relations Manager Reports to: Vice President of Vendor Management Security Services Holdings LLC and its subsidiaries (the Company) provide technology enabled end-to-end security guard management services across the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Security Services Holdings subsidiary, Protos Security (Protos), is the largest technology-enabled Security Officer Management company in the U.S. Summary Protos is seeking a Vendor Relations Manager (VRM). The VRM manages the strategic relationship for an assigned book of vendors in their portfolio, while also executing day to day activities required to assist the vendor and ensure their levels of satisfaction. These activities will include building relationships within the vendor companies, requesting vendor quotes, maintaining the database to organize vendor data, and maximizing vendor performance, based on client feedback. The ideal candidate will be able to ensure the delivery of quality service, with effective and efficient operational and administrative management. Account management experience overseeing an assigned book of business within a Service environment is critical to the Candidates success. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have operated in a metric driven environment, have an above average understanding of Salesforce and is willing to document the development of each vendor relationship. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Core duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Acts as the main point of contact for the vendors within their geographically assigned portfolio.
  • Builds multiple relationships within the vendor companies including owners/executives, decision makers, operators and security supervisors.
  • Maintains vendor company Account and Contact level profile data within Salesforce to ensure system accuracy while also collecting contact preference data.
  • Understands and is knowledgeable of Vendor service offerings, levels of service, vertical specialization, price levels and other company attribute data to ensure the best Vendor to Client match.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis, communicates them internally as needed, develops plans and oversees execution to deliver.
  • Acts as an interdepartmental liaison to share pertinent Vendor information with Operations, Compliance, Quality Assurance, Corporate Development, Sales and Strategic Accounts.
  • Develops regular reporting and feedback for Vendors to ensure satisfaction levels. This could include a weekly, monthly, quarterly and/or annual cadence depending on the market penetration of the Vendor.
  • Evaluates Client feedback survey data about assigned vendors work performance and responds with additional necessary expansion of the vendor network.
  • Acts as a team player sharing best practices with other members of the VRM team to ensure a level of consistency across all geographical Vendor portfolios.
  • Maintains a positive and professional representation of the Company in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and ensuring Vendor Relations and Vendor Personnel understand the expectation to comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university; Business education a plus but relevant equivalent business experience will be considered.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Service Industry responding to Client needs (experience in the Security Guarding Industry is a strong plus)
    • Analytical mindset, capable of managing and processing inputs from multiple data sources
    • Thinks critically and anticipates, recognizes, identifies and develops solutions to problems in a timely manner
    • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
    • CRM experience, specifically Salesforce
    • Excellent listening, interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills Travel Travel is expected with this position, up to 15%. Candidate must be available and flexible to support all U.S. time zones.
