company's HQ located in Northeastern CT... with the balance of the
time working with customers and/or working remotely from home.
Ideally, we seek a candidate that is already based in CT/RI/MA so
that they have reasonable travel when being on site.Compensation:

overall.Position Description and Responsibilities:Reporting
directly to the Chairman and CEO, the Product Line Commercial
Manager will have commercial responsibility for this $15 Million
business segment of the company which includes profit and loss,
sales, customer service/relationship management, product costing
management, and effective profitable growth of the segment.Key to
success in this role is the ability to sustain and grow sales for
this business segment by improving B2B customer relations with
active and potential customers by providing product support,
service, and commercial product expertise as the voice of the
customer within the company.The position will require a commercial
leader that is a proactive and results-oriented person with
technical learning aptitude, an open communicator, and a good team
player with the ability to cooperate and communicate with different
levels within customer organizations and within the
organization.This position will also require a strong networker
with good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
that can creatively collaborate with customers both virtually and
in person when necessary.
- This position will require a candidate with strong financial
acumen that understands the segment's financials both from a cost
of goods sold and P&L perspective to insure the continued
profitable growth of the business segment when it comes to pricing,
product cost analysis, and customer negotiations
- This position will represent the company with integrity in all
customer dealings, and develop strong, and long-term relationships
in which customers benefit and grow by using the company
- This position will be fully trained in all the company's
products and technologies to support customer value in the purchase
of these products.
- This position will also deliver proactive and swift solutions
with programs and processes to retain customers through product
development initiatives with both new and existing customers.
- This position will develop specific strategies and tactics that
will enhance the company continued growth and profitability with a
sound understanding of product costs, margins and financials.
- This position will provide comprehensive customer services such
as effective order management, complaint resolution, provide
product performance information and data, and information on
company policies, delivery schedules, and pricing.
- This position will work collaboratively with other leaders of
the business and function to help prioritize and manage customer
- This position will identify customers with a high potential for
"partnering" in growth by leveraging the company's products, and
strategic alliances to enhance long-term customer
relationships.Position Critical to Quality + Success (CTQ+S):
- BS/BA degree Business, Finance, Engineering, or Other relevant
4-year degree required.
- MBA degree is highly desired
- Must have Excellent Financial acumen concerning price modeling,
margins, and sales analysis
- 8+ years of B2B commercial product management experience that
includes sales and commercial product management experience
- Strong business management skills including and effective
negotiation skills, ability to successfully interact with key
customer decision-makers and influencers, and ability to prospect
new customers and forecast future business.
- Strong computer skills with the following software: Excel,
Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook.
