Description:.Under the general direction of the Executive
Director of the PMO, the Director serves as engagement manager for
projects that represent critical challenges for BI. - Projects
generally fall into the areas of\:
- Business strategy
- Product launch
- Organizational design
- Process engineering & optimization
- Capability enhancement/expansion
- Analysis/benchmarkingThe Director fosters ongoing relationships
with engagement sponsors and business leads, planning for and
scoping project opportunities, advising on solutions to key
business problems, and effectively managing assigned projects to
ensure successful completion and sponsor satisfaction. - This may
include formal management of other PMO team member(s) and/or

Responsibilities
- Support engagement sponsors and business leads in objectively
and effectively solving business problems by leveraging\:
- Management consulting frameworks
- Critical thinking skills
- Organizational design principles
- Process improvement methodologies
- Data analysis skills
- Knowledge of industry, marketplace, BI, and its key functional
areas
- Effectively manage projects by working independently or by
managing one or more internal and/or external team members, to\:
- Build project deliverables, including kickoff presentations,
meeting decks, status memos, and final presentations
- Lead one or more work streams under larger initiatives
- Present information to project teams and to leadership
- Leverage project management frameworks and resources to ensure
achievement of project milestones and understand key
interdependencies
- Cultivate a pipeline of prioritized projects that are aligned
to Human Pharma Leadership Team (HPLT) priorities by serving as a
trusted liaison to project sponsors and partnering to identify
future needs. - Scope individual engagements by defining
objectives, required deliverables, resource needs, timelines, and
budgets, as appropriate.
- Lead one or more work streams related to key internal PMO
processes, such as case study development, knowledge management,
external engagement, and training and development.
- Identify and raise risks and opportunities to PMO and/or HP
leadership in an effort to garner support for changes in scope,
schedule, or budget. -
- Develops (in conjunction with cross-functional
stakeholders/groups) a change management and a communications plan
as appropriate for each project to assist with implementation
- May supervise other team members and/or stakeholders and will
need to set appropriate job expectations, provide regular feedback,
conduct timely MAG Plan reviews, identify performance challenges,
create action plans and monitor the effectiveness of those action
plans. -
- Performs all Company business in accordance with all
regulations (e.g. EEO, FDA, OSHA, PDMA, EPA, PhRMA, etc.) and
Company policies and procedures. - When violations are
noted/observed they are to be immediately reported to management. -
Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards with all
business contacts in order to main BIPI's excellent reputation
within the medical and pharmaceutical communityRequirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required, MBA
from an accredited institution preferred
- Ten plus (10+) years progressive business experience
required.
- Experience in the U.S. Pharmaceutical Industry preferred.
- Extensive project management experience required.
- Management consulting experience preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma and process improvement experience
preferred.
- Well-developed leadership skills.
- Well-developed strategic thinking and problem solving
skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed
organization.
- People management experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MSOffice required; including demonstrated
ability to build high-impact PowerPoint slides.
- Critical thinking, project management, stakeholder
management
- Displays AAI behaviors\: Agility, Accountability, and
Intrapreneurship
- Ability to travel (may include overnight travel)Eligibility
