Job Description:

Weston & Sampson is seeking qualified candidates with 8+ years of professional experience in structural bridge engineering, working out of our Rocky Hill, CT, Foxborough, MA or Reading, MA office. Will be required to work closely with the team leader in managing and delivering bridge, culvert, and other transportation structure projects for our clients within established budgets and schedules.
What you'll do:

• 
  Required to manage and work closely with project teams and other disciplines to prepare and complete deliverables such as plans, specifications, cost estimates, and reports for clients.
  
  
• 
  Duties will include the planning, design, and construction administration of a variety of structural bridge related projects for CTDOT, MassDOT, and other public agencies.
  
  
• 
  required to assist in proposal preparation with the goal of growing the structural bridge group.
  
  
• 
  Schedule and delegate tasks, review work performed by others, effectively communicate with the project team, and perform quality control reviews of deliverables.
  
  
• 
  Some travel will be required to client meetings and project sites.
  
  
  What you will bring:
  
  • 
    
  • 
    BS in Civil Engineering is required; MS in Civil Environmental Engineering is a plus.
    
    
  • 
    Licensed Professional Engineer required.
    
    
  • 
    NCEES Record and having passed the SE 16-hour exam is a plus.
    
    
  • 
    Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is required.
    
    
  • 
    Experience with CTDOT and MassDOT standards is required. Experience with other state DOT standards is a plus.
    
    
  • 
    Proficiency in the use of structural analysis and design software, including but not limited to, AASHTOWARE, STAAD, PennDOT ABLRFD, Midas Civil, LEAP Bridge Concrete, MathCAD is preferred.
    
    
  • 
    Experience in dealing with multiple projects and clients along with managing technical, budgetary and client aspects of projects.
    
    
  • 
    Proficiency in the use of MS Project is a plus.
    
    
  • 
    Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
    
    
  • 
    Organization and time management skills are required.
    
    
  • 
    Valid driver's license
