SUMMARY Stratton's Food & Beverage Director is responsible for
providing sophisticated and strategic leadership and oversight of
the Resort's Food & Beverage operations, which includes catering,
events, quick service, full service, fine dining, and experiential
dining. The Food & Beverage Director is expected to provide
confident leadership to set the standards for the Food & Beverage
division ensuring that Stratton's guests enjoy premier service and
quality products. They are responsible for the success of all
aspects of the department's goals and strategies (financial, guest
experience and employee experience) and is held accountable to the
associated metrics. Stratton's F&B Department provides an
environment for coaching, learning and growth to a diverse group of
team members, led by the Director. This is a Full-Time, Year-Round
position with a pay range of $85,000 - $100,000/year plus annual
bonus. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Provide leadership and strategic direction
to elevate the department's service standards, products, and guest
dining experiencesDirect menu planning, including costs,
preparation, and presentation, with constant adjustments and
improvementsResponsible for the creation, implementation, and
presentation of Food & Beverage's annual business planFoster and
maintain a symbiotic relationship with staff and leadership of the
Stratton Mountain ClubEnsure Food & Beverage team members have the
resources, training, and support necessary to deliver superior food
offerings and serviceEnsure that the Food & Beverage's human
resources procedures are being followed (performance management,
timecard validation, tips allocations, hiring, scheduling, training
plans, etc.)Work with resort sales team to develop an effective
sales plan for catering operationsResponsible for financial
oversight of division including margin, labor, and expense
management and revenue growth initiativesProvide present mentorship
and supportive management to the department's managers and senior
managers, including their professional development and goal
settingDirect department meetings with all levels of contributing
team members to facilitate communication, training, safety,
operations, and other important programmingProvide leadership and
overall direction in recruiting, staffing strategies, training, and
employee developmentDirect the management of the internship
programs, both domestic and international, for culinary and F&B
management studentsOversee the Event Coordinator department,
providing coaching, support, growth opportunities and leadership to
the Event Coordinators EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
Hospitality degree strongly preferred. Experience: 5-10 years in
Food & Beverage operations5+ years of management experience at
senior level2+ years of resort/hospitality business experience,
preferredCatering operations experience preferred QUALIFICATIONS,
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS Exceptional management
skills - able to provide direction through subordinate managers and
professionalsStrong communications skills, both verbal and
writtenResort management and industry acumenIn depth Food &
Beverage knowledgePublic speaking and /presenting skillSolid
computer experience with MS Office products including Word, Excel,
Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.Must be a proven leader who is
adept at creating a motivated and productive teamAdept at
recruiting, hiring, and building a bench of highly motivated
employees in a seasonal market environmentMust display strong
strategic thinking and be skilled at analyzing and adapting to the
changing business environmentAble to establish, develop and most
importantly, effectively communicate a clear and appealing vision
of what the Food & Beverage division can and needs to be by
formulating a vision that is aligned with our financial targets and
our guest and employee experiencesIs well-informed regarding
emerging trends, issues and opportunities in the business
environmentHas strong financial acumenEnjoys relationship buildingA
strongly self-motivated professional who is passionate about
resort's business and products both on and off the jobAppreciation
for Vermont, New England, winter sports and regional recreation
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS This position may be
required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.Able to lift,
carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 35 pounds on an
occasional basis.Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other
common office equipment on a constant basis.Auditory and visual
acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices and basic
office equipment on a constant basis.Ability to work for extended
periods of time sitting, bending, reaching, and speaking on a
constant basis.Ability to work for extended periods of time
standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on an occasional
basis.Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of
