Primary purpose: Manage projects for a large federal-government task order contract. Work with Program Director, other Project Managers, Task Leads, and the client to plan and manage work across the task. Drive scope, team, schedule, budget, and quality aspects to achieve project objectives and deliverables under Lantana's high performance standards. A successful candidate will:

  • Plan, execute, and control the project with particular regard to objectives, schedule, budget, quality, resources, communication, and risks.
  • Direct the project team to plan and implement the project; ensure alignment with scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Triage and respond promptly and professionally to client and stakeholder inquiries.
  • Apply industry best practices for managing software-development projects.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, management, and staff.
  • Juggle competing demands and prioritize work effectively.
  • Schedule internal and external meetings; prepare agendas and materials.
  • Compose, organize, and transcribe clear meeting minutes that capture important discussions, decisions, and action items for internal calls, client/customer meetings, and conference calls.
  • Understand the work the team members support in sufficient depth to develop content and budgets for bids and proposals. Requirements:Required Qualifications:
    • Associate degree
    • Three (3) or more years of project-management experience
    • Experience with government contracts or programs
    • Expert-level task-management and task-tracking skills
    • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work within a challenging environment across multiple, diverse teams
    • Ability to successfully complete a federal Position of Public Trust background investigation Preferred Qualifications:
      • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree
      • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
      • Experience with public health, healthcare systems, and/or Health IT projects including healthcare-related software projects
      • Knowledge of Agile scrum methodology and JIRA
      • Knowledge of healthcare IT standards Additional Job Information:
