Job Description We are searching for a full time UrgentCare Nurse Practitioner to join our center in Shelton CT. The NP will assist in the care of patients and assist indirecting staff in the support of care of patients. Reports the CenterAdministrator and Lead Physician. Centers are opened 7 days per weekfrom 8 AM to 8 PM, Monday - Friday and 8 AM to 5 PM on weekends. Full time andPart time openings available, 36 hour work weeks and full Benefits. Salary: $60 per hour or abovenegotiable. Qualifications:Valid Nurse Practitioner LicenseSome Urgent Care experience requiredCurrent CPR certificationDemonstrated understanding of the concepts ofuniversal precautions, HIPAA and OSHAOutgoing, friendly demeanorTeam player, excellent verbal and communicationskills, adaptable in different situations, pos -sesses excellent clientinteraction skills, able to multi-task and work independently. Essential Duties andResponsibilities:Perform triage of newly registered patientsDirect patients to available examination roomsand ensure rooms are set up based on patient initial complaintCollect biological specimens and perform testingwhen requestedEnsure each room is cleaned after each patientencounterWound care when indicatedPerform Electrocardiograms when indicatedWork in conjunction with the centeradministrator to monitor medical suppliesWork in conjunction with the nursing staff tocall back patients to ensure patient satisfactionAssist physician with patient care whenrequestedSterilization of all medical instruments afteruseInterview clinical staffEnsure center compliance with medical protocolsAssist medical director with the properfunctioning of laboratory - including running controls, proficiency testing,trouble shooting instrument problemsScheduling of nursing staff to ensure coverageduring all hours of operationOther duties and responsibilities as assigned.
