Job Description Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. On this team, you'll have the opportunity to create and develop advanced technology capabilities in the areas of advanced electronics, autonomy, cyber, electronic warfare, and sensors and processing.Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Point of contact for the SEAS Fast Labs area, responsible for coordinating with lab services on lab space needs.
  • Provide electro/mechanical integration and logistic support on multiple R&D field tests for multiple Defense technologies.
  • Lead field service technician for field installations and repairs overseas in support of BAE System's Navy customer's SURTASS programs. Provide logistics planning and scheduling.
  • Maintain a schedule of company vehicles within the SEAS FAST Labs department.
  • Perform testing for all field return and deliverable product.
  • Train and support SEAS FAST Labs junior technicians and engineers in mechanical/ electrical processes and procedures.
  • Responsible for the order and organization of chemicals and expendable items.Work with Safety Health and Environment (SHE) and Lab Services to preform yearly safety audits, and address findings.
    • Work with facilities (place work orders to have updates or repairs done in the lab when needed) Quarterly inspections of equipment.
      • Schedule testing events in the large hydro tank.
      • Maintain inventory of 6 Conex containers used for auxiliary storage. Work directly with warehouse employees to have items shipped to and from their facility when needed.
      • Operate our propane fork truck, and large power pallet truck.
      • Oversee shipping efforts of sonar equipment. This includes crating of units, and loading / unloading elements onto flatbed trucks.
      • Build, test, and troubleshoot sonar equipment.Assistant boundary manager for FAST Labs quarry test facility
        • Support Safety Health and Environment (SHE) team during yearly safety audits, work action plans and action closure activities.
        • Escort contractors, understand and ensure proper procedures and processes are being followed.
        • Support Quarterly inspections of equipment and ensure proper functionality and calibration.
        • Quarry technical support for program test events, and scheduling
        • Coordinate with Facilities and SHE to accommodate special program requests.Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
          • Hold an active DoD Secret Clearance
          • U.S. Citizen is Required
          • Experience applying engineering process and procedures to complex research and development (DoD) programs.
          • Experience working with government customers.
          • Electro/Mechanical assembly, integration, debug, and root cause analysis experience (active acoustic hardware).
          • Ability to work in small organization with diverse cultures and individual differences.
          • HS diploma with +8 years' experience Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
            • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
            • A.S. in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related engineering discipline with 6+ years of experience.
            • Acoustic and electro/mechanical design.
            • Experience mentoring and managing small program team of technicians.Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
