Summary For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $2000 sign
on bonus for
Patient Service Representatives (PSRs):
Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part
time PSR position.
Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are
ineligible.
Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible;
former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6
months separation from employment.
This is a 36 hour per week position.
Waldo Hospital's Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is offering an
exciting opportunity for a Patient Service Representative (PSR) to
join our organization! We are looking for candidates with strong
communication and administrative skills, a positive attitude, and a
proven track record of reliability to support this busy and growing
practice and contribute to the team. This individual will often be
the first person a patient sees at a visit and will greet patients
in a friendly and courteous manner, answer telephones, schedule
appointments, and perform other general office duties assigned. The
PSR will also collect, verify, enter, and monitor patient data
while complying with federal, state, and MaineHealth
confidentiality policies. This individual should be a quick
learner, have excellent computer skills, and be able to learn to
navigate the EHR.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
preferred.
License/Certifications: N/A
Experience: Six months to one year medical office related
experience and/or training preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short
correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small
group situations.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers. Ability to perform
operations using units of American money and weight measurements,
volume and distance.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of
variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
