Join our team as a Full Time Pharmacist and dive into a role where you'll be at the heart of ensuring seamless medication delivery to long term care facilities.Location: On site at our closed-door, Cheshire, CT pharmacySalary: starting at $62/hrHealth Insurance: Medical, Dental and Vision InsuranceSchedule: Various schedules (every 3rd weekend rotation is required)Reports to: Pharmacist In ChargeKey Responsibilities:Check and review Floor Technician work (PV2)Check, verify and replace contents of E-KitsPull control medication to match that of labelMaintain count accuracy and organization of the control roomCompound sterile and non-sterile productsMake necessary NDC changesProcess new and completed backordersFill and review OOP/LOA requests as they come inFill Clozapine ordersCheck medications that have been packaged (pre-pack)Supervising other Pharmacists (when PIC) and overseeing Floor TechniciansAssist pharmacy technicians as neededOn-Call when scheduledEnsure PV2 is meeting its commitments for pharmacy run times and exceeding expectations of our customers/ colleagues performing PV1Abide by all federal and state laws pertaining to the practice of pharmacyFollow the pharmacy policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective medication use, including participation in the pharmacys continuous quality improvement programReport medication errors to management as they occurKnowledge of medication, interactions, and dosageComplete QA sheetsPerform other duties as assignedFlex into PV1 role as availableQualifications/Requirements:Degree in Pharmacy is required, PharmD preferredLicense to practice in state required (Must be in good standing)Minimum of 1 year working in healthcare environment as licensed pharmacistLTC Pharmacy or related environment preferredKnowledge of Frameworks and Docutrack information systems is strongly preferredThis position requires the ability to exert up to 40 lbs. of force occasionally and/or lift, carry, push, or move objectsPosition requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time during shiftSkills + Abilities:Attention to DetailTechnical ProficiencyClinical KnowledgeProblem Solving AbilitiesRegulatory ComplianceInterpersonal SkillsOrganizational SkillsContinuous LearningCoaching and MentorshipTime ManagementCommunication SkillsBenefits and Perks:401k with company matchComprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision InsurancePaid time offFree Virtual Care - TelemedicineNo face-to-face meetings with customers as we are a closed-door pharmacyReferral BonusesMake a difference in the lives of othersWork with a team that values your feedback and skillsWe are growing and that means more opportunitiesClarest is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
