Position Highlights Department: Diagnostic Imaging Hours: 24 hours/week Shift: Days, 1st Shift Position Summary: The Mammography/X-Ray Technologist is responsible for but not limited to: Performs breast imaging - screening and diagnostic exams Performs a wide variety of Diagnostic imaging procedures, to support the Marlborough ED as well as outpatients from local physician offices. Exercises independent, professional judgment in the performance of all imaging exams Applies the principles of teamwork in every aspect of patient care. Provide a safe environment for patients, co-workers, and Medical staff at all times Practices safety absolutes when identifying patients for every imaging exam. Gains patient cooperation / reducing anxieties; by providing explanations of imaging procedures; explaining equipment; answering questions. Provide high caliber breast imaging at all times by following established standards and procedures; determining necessary adjustments for optimum results; retaking images as required Every third weekend commitment working in Diagnostic area 2 Holidays per year working in Diagnostic area Minimum Qualifications: Connecticut State License Radiologic Technologist ARRT board certified Mammography ARRT board certified or board eligible Must meet all ACR/FDA Personnel Qualifications Familiar with EPIC, Philips PACS, Hologic Mammography Equipment Willing to work in Diagnostic x ray when required.
