• Shift Details: 3x12 hour shifts 1030am-11pm There is a rotating overnight call requirement No Weekends, No Holidays Job Description: This role involves providing service and support before, during, and after surgical procedures. Responsibilities include ensuring the presence and proper arrangement of surgical equipment, assisting the surgeon during operations, and cleaning the operating room after procedures. The position requires certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), knowledge of various surgical procedures, excellent interpersonal/communication skills, and strict adherence to policies and regulations regarding maintenance of sterile field. Completion of a surgical technician program is required. Qualifications:
  • Completion of a surgical technician program
  • Must be certified through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or be able to obtain certification within one year of employment
  • Maintenance of CPR, BLS validation, and attendance of annual Validation Day required
  • Knowledge of various surgical procedures with the ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon and recognize problems encountered
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
  • Strict adherence to policies and regulations regarding maintenance of sterile field
