Job Description:

Seeking a certified Activities Therapist to join our clinical services team at Copper Springs, a joint operation with Lifepoint Behavioral Health and Springstone, in Avondale, Arizona.
Copper Springs specializes in compassionate behavioral health services, including crisis stabilization, inpatient care, and outpatient treatment for acute mental health and substance use treatment.
As an Activities Therapist, you will develop a plan of care with specific and measurable goals, objectives, and interventions defining actions unique to each patient's needs.
Key responsibilities include:

• Developing a plan of care with specific and measurable goals, objectives, and interventions defining actions unique to each patient's needs.
  
• Contributing to treatment planning with feedback to nursing and program staff to achieve therapeutic interventions.
  
• Providing direction to nursing staff regarding activity-related groups.
  
• Attending treatment teams with input into patient's Activity Therapy goals.
  
  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • Certification as a CTRS, MT-BC (Music Therapy), or ATR (Art Therapist) is required.
    
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institute in Recreational, Music or Art Therapy or similar field.
    
  • Licensure or certification per state of practice guidelines.
    
  • CPR and CPI Certification within 30 days of employment.
    
    Preferred qualifications include:

    • Previous experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients.
