Job Summary:
The Patient Care Administrative Nurse Supervisor is an experienced
Registered Nurse and is responsible for supervising and monitoring
the Nursing department(s) on an assigned shift in accordance with
nursing standards and practices as well as current Federal, State
and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
This position provides leadership for multiple hospital departments
in the absence of the unit manager, director, or
administration.
This position ensures the appropriate delivery of direct and
indirect patient care via the utilization of the Nursing Process
and creates a positive environment for the professional practice of
nursing.
The role provided leadership to ensure continuous improvement
within quality, safety and in alignment with Balanced Scorecard,
key priorities and strategic plan
Directs and implements evidenced based strategies to transform care
delivery and attain optimal outcomes
In partnership, implements, facilitates, measures, evaluates
clinical quality initiatives including both process and outcome
measures
Analyzes data and partners to compose actionable process
improvement, status reports and data driven presentations to share
with both leaders and staff

Qualifications
--- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
--- 3 years of acute care charge or supervisory experience
required
--- Critical care or emergency department nursing experience may be
required in acute care environments
--- Progressive leadership experience
--- Active Registered Nurse license from the State of Connecticut
required
Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) provider credentialed form
the American Heart Association (AHA)
Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) provider
credentialed form the American Heart Association (AHA)
