(Occupational Health RN)/nJob Summary:/n An Occupational Health
Registered Nurse (Occupational Health RN) focuses on promoting and
maintaining the health and safety of employees in the workplace.
The Occupational Health RN works to prevent work-related injuries
and illnesses, manage employee health concerns, and ensure
compliance with workplace health and safety regulations. They
collaborate with employers, employees, and other healthcare
professionals to create and maintain a safe and healthy working
environment. /n/nKey Responsibilities:/n /n - Perform workplace
health assessments, including physical exams, immunizations, and
health screenings to monitor employee health and fitness for duty.
/n - Assess, develop, and implement health and safety programs to
prevent work-related injuries, illnesses, and exposures to hazards.
/n - Provide first aid and emergency care to employees for minor
injuries, illnesses, or work-related incidents. /n - Educate
employees on occupational health policies, safety protocols, and
compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA guidelines). /n -
Assist in the development and implementation of workplace safety
programs, including risk assessments and injury prevention
strategies. /n - Manage workers' compensation claims, including
monitoring treatment, coordinating with providers, and ensuring
compliance with applicable laws and regulations. /n - Conduct
health and wellness programs, including health promotion
initiatives, ergonomic assessments, and training on health-related
topics. /n - Collaborate with supervisors and management to
identify and address workplace hazards and health concerns. /n -
Maintain employee health records, ensuring confidentiality and
compliance with legal and organizational policies. /n - Provide
education and training on illness and injury prevention,
ergonomics, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). /n -
Support employees with chronic health conditions or disabilities in
maintaining their fitness for work and ensuring appropriate
accommodations. /n - Track and report on workplace health data,
such as injury and illness rates, to support organizational safety
initiatives. /n /n/nQualifications:/n /n - Education: Bachelor of
Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing
(ADN) accepted. /n - Licensure:/n /n - Valid Registered Nurse (RN)
license in the state of practice. /n /n /n - Certification:/n /n -
Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) or Occupational Health Nurse
Specialist (OHN) certification preferred but not always required.
