Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience:
Minimum 2 years in ICU License: Active nursing license required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Neuro and Trauma
experience. EVD and ICP monitoring expertise. Ventilator management
proficiency. Experience with critical care drips and drain
management. Strong assessment skills. Ability to recognize cardiac
rhythms, care for chest tubes, and manage tracheostomies.
Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the
Intensive Care Unit. The nurse will care for medical, surgical,
trauma, neuro, ortho, and interventional patients. Patient ratios
are typically 1:2 based on acuity, with an occasional third
patient. Charge experience is preferred, and candidates should have
worked in a charge registered nurse capacity. Strong critical
thinking and assessment skills are required for successful patient
care. The nursing team will consist of support staff including
charge nurses, resource nurses, and hospitalists on duty 24/7. A
trauma surgery team will monitor their own patients. Experienced
candidates will engage with a variety of patient scenarios
including multi-system trauma, sepsis, ARDS, and COVID-19 cases.
Documentation will be completed using Cerner. There will be
opportunities to float to other critical care units as needed.
Weekend rotation will be required, with every other weekend
included. Holiday coverage will be based on unit needs, with
