Job Description WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a local contract nursing job in Manchester, Connecticut. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Labor and Delivery Nurse for a contract assignment at a prestigious hospital in Manchester, CT. Job Function: /n - Night Shift. /n - 3x12: 7pm - 7am. /n - Categorizes patients according to the appropriate level of care. /n /n - Applies external fetal monitors and interprets fetal heart tracings and uterine activity. /n /n - Implements appropriate interventions based on fetal heart rate patterns and maternal status during labor. /n /n - Identifies emergency situations, considers patient age, and notifies the provider promptly. /n /n - Administers medications following the five rights of safety and infection control guidelines or as ordered by the provider. /n /n /n - /n /n Job Requirements: /n - Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. /n /n - Current RN license in the state of Connecticut. /n /n - 2 years of acute care experience in labor and delivery. /n /n - BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications from the American Heart Association. /n /n - Fetal Monitoring Certification preferred. /n /n /n Disclosure: The hourly rates and/or salaries listed may or may not reflect total compensation packages including bonus and fringe benefits, etc., nor are the advertisement(s) posted a guarantee of a certain compensation package for a position or bona fide offer of employment.
