Job Description Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN Special Procedures for a travel nursing job in Manchester, Connecticut. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Special Procedures - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/21/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Interventional Radiology RN - 8H AM - 2YR CANDIDATES WITHIN 75 MILES ARE CONSIDERED LOCAL - THIS MUST BE NOTED UPON SUBMISSION LOCALS ARE CONSIDERED AT A RATE DECREASE of $10 LESS NO LOCALS ALLOWED FOR ALLIED POSITIONS Shift Details: 5x8H Days *Variable Start Times; 7:30am - 4:00pm and 8:amm - 4:30pm Call Required Every 3rd Weekend (Friday 4:30pm - Monday 7:30am) and 1-2 days during the week (4:30pm-7:30am) Required Certifications: ACLS BLS Patient Age Group: Adults Geriatrics Years of Experience: 2 Years Unit Accepts First Time Travelers Medication System: Omnicell Documentation System: Meditech Communication System: SBAR Special Procedures/Unit Details: Our Interventional Radiology (IR) Department is a fast-paced, team-oriented unit within a full-service community hospital. We perform a broad range of minimally invasive, image-guided procedures for both inpatients and outpatients. Common procedures include central line placements (PICC, ports, tunneled catheters), drainages, biopsies, nephrostomy tubes, paracentesis/thoracentesis, dialysis access interventions, and angiographic procedures. The department is staffed by experienced interventional radiologists, RNs, and technologists who work collaboratively to deliver safe, high-quality care. Required Skills: Interventional Radiology Special Procedures Angioplasty Gastrostomy Tube Placement Paracentesis Liver Biopsy Chest Tube Placement Lung Biopsy Thoracentesis Central Venous Access - Non-tunneled/PICC placement Central Venous Access/Port Placement Upper and Lower Extremity Angiography Antiarrhythmics Antihypertensives Emergency Medications Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring Reversal agents Thrombolytics Blood Product Administration Implanted Ports - Care and Maintenance IV infusion pumps PICC Lines - Care and Maintenance Starting IVs Activated Clotting Time (ACT) End-Tidal CO2 monitoring External Compression Devices (C-Clamp, Sandbags) Infection Prevention Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias Isolation Precautions Monitoring Procedural Sedation Radiation and Laser Safety Scrubs: Blue Tact Staff Job ID 526476.
