nursing and rehabilitation center located in the heart of

our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a detail-oriented and
proactive Infection Control Nurse to help ensure the health and
safety of our residents and staff through effective infection
prevention and control strategies. Position Summary The Infection
Control Nurse is responsible for the facility's infection
prevention and control program. This includes overseeing
surveillance, prevention, and control measures to minimize the risk
of infections among residents, staff, and visitors. This position
plays a vital role in training, policy development, and ensuring
compliance with state, federal, and CDC guidelines. Key
Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain an effective
infection control program in accordance with CDC, OSHA, CMS, and
DPH standards. Monitor and investigate infection trends and
outbreaks within the facility. Conduct infection surveillance and
provide regular reports to leadership and regulatory bodies.
Educate staff, residents, and families on infection prevention
protocols. Serve as a key member of the Quality Assurance and
Performance Improvement (QAPI) team. Maintain infection control
records and documentation in compliance with regulatory
requirements. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to
improve infection outcomes and patient safety. Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Connecticut.
Infection Prevention and Control Certification (CIC) preferred;
willingness to obtain within 12 months of hire required. Minimum 2
years of clinical nursing experience; experience in long-term care
or infection control highly preferred. Strong understanding of
epidemiology and infection control principles. Excellent
communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Proficient in
