Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for
a Labor & Delivery position requiring advanced fetal monitoring
certification and at least 2 years of L&D experience.
Responsibilities - Position is in the Labor & Delivery unit of a
366-bed acute care academic medical center - Responsibilities
include scheduled inductions, repeat C-sections, non-stress tests,
triage, infant care, and 1:1 RN care for epidural and Magnesium
Sulfate administration - Possible floating to the maternity unit
may be required - Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with every
other weekend and holiday rotation - Cerner EMR experience is
preferred but not required - Responsibilities include 1:1 nursing
care for specific procedures and close monitoring of mothers and
infants - Completion of hospital-required modules through the
iLearn platform is necessary before starting the assignment - Local
candidates within 60 miles are accepted but may be subject to a
different rate - Must participate in holiday and weekend rotations
as assigned - Returning travelers who have previously worked at the
facility require an eligibility review process prior to returning
Requirements - Active CT or compact RN license required - BLS,
ACLS, and NRP (AHA certifications only) required - C-EFM (NCC)
certification and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required
(Advanced EFM not accepted) - At least 2 years of recent Labor &
Delivery RN experience is required - Two recent professional
references from a manager or higher in the discipline are required
