Job Description:
A highly awarded rural health system in northern Maine is adding
a Hospitalist. About the Opportunity Medical Center, with a total
licensed capacity of 74 beds also operates a 65-bed acute care
hospital Well-known for its patient-centered services, the
hospital, and its staff have won numerous state and national awards
for quality in both customer service and clinical performance The
family includes approximately 540 employees, 60 active medical
staff providers, 100 courtesy and consulting physicians, and 75
volunteers The four-weekday hospitalists will create a coverage
schedule so that: 1) 24-hour coverage is achieved Monday - Friday;
2) coverage assignments between days and nights are distributed
evenly; and 3) approximately fifteen scheduled shifts are worked in
any four-week schedule All shifts are 12 hours in length, starting
at either 6:00 AM or 6:00 PM Approximately one-half day per week
per hospitalist when working on the day shift is allocated to
administrative or non-patient care duties Weekends are covered by
our full-time hospitalist working from 6:00 AM Saturday through
6:00 AM Monday Top pay and full benefits Community/Location Located
in the most northeastern city in the US and has a population of
