American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float
Pool night position requiring a NH or compact RN license and a
minimum of two years of Med/Surg experience. /n /n
Responsibilities/n - Work in a hospital setting, floating between
the Thompson, Farnum, and Kingsbury units - Care for
adult-geriatric patient population - Float between units during
shifts, with possible rotations such as 4 hours in Kingsbury and 8
hours in Farnum - 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM -
Every other weekend required and holiday coverage as needed - No
on-call requirements - Must be able to float to stepdown unit when
required - EPIC EMR is used and experience is required -
Responsibilities include coordinating total nursing care, patient
and family education, and leadership in collaboration with
ancillary staff - Professional scrubs without logos are required as
dress code - Block scheduling and schedule accommodation requests
are not permitted - Requested time off must be submitted at time of
application, with a maximum of 5 days during the assignment - Local
candidates residing within 50 miles are not considered - Must be
willing and able to float between multiple units within a single
shift /n /n Requirements/n - Active NH or compact RN license in
hand at time of consideration - Bachelor of Science in Nursing
(BSN) required - Minimum of two years' recent Med/Surg experience -
Experience with stepdown care, including cardiac drips and other
stepdown practices - Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
certifications - Experience with EPIC EMR required - Must have
personal vehicle - ICU RNs will be considered /n Benefits/n - High
