Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: MRI
Technologist Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Sunday, Wednesday, and
Saturday Hours per Shift: 12 hours (6:30 am to 7:00 pm) Experience:
Minimum of 2 years License: ARRT registered Certifications: BCLS
certification (obtained within 4 months of hire and maintained
thereafter) Must-Have: Influenza vaccinated as required unless a
medical exemption is provided and approved Description: Our
organization is currently seeking a Full-time MRI Technologist.
This position includes working 36 hours on a schedule of Sunday,
Wednesday, and Saturday with 12-hour shifts. There may be a
requirement to work variable shifts based on census. Holidays are
covered by call, and staff may be asked to assist during those
times. The MRI Technologist must provide care appropriate to the
condition and age of patients, including pediatric and general
populations. The staff is responsible for the care and safety of
patients while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
Communication of the organization's mission and vision, as well as
developing effective working relationships with patients and staff,
is essential. Job-specific duties include performing procedures for
MRI using established protocols. The technologist screens patients
for contraindications and follows safety requirements. They are
responsible for interviewing patients to explain procedures,
addressing any concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
Educating patients on procedures and answering questions is a
critical function of the role. Ensuring the safety of patients and
staff is paramount, including explaining safety protocols and
requesting the removal of hazardous metal objects. Monitoring
patients visually and verbally at all times is required. The
technologist operates other equipment necessary for daily duties
and patient care. Maintaining a clean and orderly environment to
promote good safety habits is essential. They also help monitor
inventory and perform other related duties as necessary.
