stepdown care is sought for a contract opportunity in Derby, KS.
This position supports a critical care unit focusing on cardiac and
stepdown patients. The role involves delivering specialized patient
care within a high-acuity environment and collaborating with a
dedicated healthcare team to optimize outcomes. Key Qualifications
and Desired Experience: Current RN licensure with stepdown or
critical care expertise BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required Experience
with cardiac care procedures such as heart catheterizations,
balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia protocols, cardioversion, and
central line management Ability to administer medication drips and
adhere to patient ratio standards (1:2 typical) Strong
organizational skills, efficiency, and a positive, engaged attitude
essential for success Schedule/Hours: Night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM
Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in
a 26-bed cardiac stepdown unit Monitor and manage advanced cardiac
support equipment and interventions Collaborate closely with
multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans Maintain accurate
documentation using an EMR system (Meditech) Adhere to unit
policies and uphold patient safety and quality standards Benefits
