Location Detail: 100 Grand Street New Britain (10126) Shift
Detail: 36 hour night Vascular Access RN 2-3 years Critical Care

Under the general direction of Nursing Leadership and in
collaboration with a nurse preceptor and nurse educator along with
an interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse Resident utilizes
evidence-based practices in accordance with the State Nurse
Practice Act, and policies and procedures of the hospital. This
position develops a plan of care, which includes standards of
practice to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and
educational needs of the patient and family. Providing emergency
response to inpatient and ED, hospital resource nurse for all
areas. IV vascular training included with orientation.
Qualifications Education · Completion of a formal Nursing program.
· Associate’s degree in Nursing Licensure, Certification,
Registration · Registered Nurse, State of CT · Certified BLS
Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)
obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer
date. · Additional certifications may be required in specific
specialties · Critical care requirements of 2 year experience.
Language Skills · Must be able to effectively communicate
information in English. Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements
· Applies the principles and practices of nursing. · Ability to
develop, deliver and evaluate patient care. · Works towards caring
for a full patient assignment with expanding scope of
responsibilities over time. · Basic knowledge of high reliability.
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Uses
communication skills to foster a healthy work environment and
facilitate positive patient outcomes and experience. · Demonstrates
cultural sensitivity in all interactions with patients/families and
co-workers. · Applies knowledge of care for age specific
populations. · Ability to work as part of a collaborative team. ·
Self-directed in clinical responsibilities. · Ability to manage and
organize multiple clinical priorities. · Proficiency in basic
computer skills and use of industry applications/programs. Ability
to learn new technology and programs as advancements and changes
