Provide advanced nursing care in a specialized stepdown setting, supporting patients who require close monitoring and complex interventions. This role offers the opportunity to work with an experienced team in an 8-bed progressive care unit focused on medical-surgical intermediate care. Location: Situated in Damariscotta, ME, this community is known for its charming coastal atmosphere, access to outdoor recreational activities, and welcoming environment. Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the stepdown unit, managing acuity levels ranging from 1:1 to 4:1 patient ratios. Manage critical equipment including ventilators, ceiling lifts, plumb pumps, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and SCD boots. Administer vasoactive drips and other complex treatments under established protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans and ensure patient safety. Occasionally float to other medical-surgical units as needed. Follow documentation protocols using EPIC electronic medical records. Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of five years nursing experience. Skilled in managing vasoactive drips and ventilator support. Prior experience in ICU, stepdown, or intermediate care units strongly preferred. Proactive, team-oriented professionals who maintain high clinical standards. Schedule & Hours: 12-hour shifts: 6:00 AM6:00 PM or 6:00 PM6:00 AM 36 guaranteed hours per week Scheduled every other weekend minimum No call requirements during core hours Additional Details: Dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
