As a critical accessstyle community hospital, it plays an essential role in caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in an area where the next closest hospital can be hours away, combining broad general medical capabilities with a strong community-focused mission. About the Facility Location The facility is located in a remote, rural border region of far northern New England, near the Canadian border, serving a wide catchment area of small towns and isolated communities. It sits in a scenic area characterized by forests, rivers, and open countryside, with long winters and a strong local community presence.
