people heal. Roles & Responsibilities Direct and coordinate the
patient care team to deliver individualized, high-quality Med/Surg
care Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the
nursing process for all ages Develop and update patient care plans
in partnership with physicians, patients, and families Perform
thorough patient assessments and document findings clearly and
accurately Provide safe, evidence-based interventions and monitor
patient responses Promote teamwork and effective communication with
medical staff across the hospital Adhere to hospital policies
including confidentiality, advance directives, and ADA requirements
Function independently while escalating concerns and collaborating
when necessary Qualifications Current RN licensure in the State of
Maine or authorization pending licensure by endorsement Graduate of
an accredited school of nursing Current BLS required ACLS and PALS
required within 6 months of hire Demonstrated Med/Surg nursing
experience and comfort with patient assessment and care planning
Strong documentation, communication, and computer skills Ability to
function independently and work effectively in a team Education
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Associate's or
Bachelor's degree in Nursing) Knowledge & Skills Med/Surg nursing
principles and patient care workflows Nursing process: assessment,
planning, implementation, evaluation Patient assessment across the
lifespan (pediatric to geriatric) Care planning and accurate
clinical documentation Basic and advanced life support (BLS, ACLS,
PALS) Effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
Familiarity with hospital policies on confidentiality and advance
directives Proficient computer skills for electronic charting and
