Job Description Job Description OB/GYN Physician – Per Diem Location: Shelton, Connecticut Organization Overview This opportunity is with a respected, community-focused healthcare organization providing comprehensive women’s health services throughout Connecticut. Position Summary The organization is seeking an OB/GYN Physician for a Per Diem (Moonlighting) role to support its women’s health services in Shelton, Connecticut. This position is ideal for physicians seeking flexible, as-needed clinical coverage. The role may include inpatient and/or outpatient OB/GYN responsibilities based on coverage needs, physician availability, and experience. Scheduling is coordinated collaboratively to align with mutual needs. Essential Responsibilities Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in accordance with clinical standards Participate in inpatient and/or outpatient OB/GYN coverage as needed Evaluate, diagnose, and manage obstetric and gynecologic conditions Perform routine gynecologic procedures and obstetric care within scope Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians, midwives, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Adhere to evidence-based guidelines, quality standards, and patient safety protocols Qualifications Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school Board Status: Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology Licensure: Active Connecticut medical license or eligibility to obtain Experience: Prior OB/GYN clinical experience preferred; moonlighting/per diem experience a plus Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and team-oriented approach Compensation & Work Environment Competitive per diem compensation, commensurate with experience Flexible scheduling based on availability and coverage needs Hospital-affiliated clinical setting Strong clinical, nursing, and administrative support To learn more, please contact manish@theproviderfinder.com or call 843-984-0745 .
