Cardiovascular Technologist Location: Bangor, ME Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,166 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 24 Weeks Start Date: 3/31/2026 About the Position Job Title: Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer Profession: Sonographer Specialty: Peds Multi-Spec Clinic Duration: 24 Weeks Shift: Variable Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of independent practice; 3 years preferred; Pediatric experience required License: Not specified Certifications: BLS required; ARDMS Adult (AE) registry with pediatric experience; Pediatric (PE) registry preferred Must-Have: Pediatric experience; Strong assessment skills Description: As soon as possible start needed. Manager interviews required. 24 weeks needed. The facility is an outpatient clinic with imaging rooms designed for pediatric cardiology. The candidate will work between clinic and inpatient settings. The typical outpatient rooms used for pediatric cardiology scans are limited. The candidate will have independent practice with neonates, children, and adults with congenital heart disease. Patients range from premature newborns to individuals in their 60s. On average, 6 outpatient and 2 inpatient patients are seen per day. Skills required include the ability to recognize fatigue and changes in patients. The candidate will have support from staff including patient service representatives and nursing staff. There are 2 additional sonographers in the department providing support. Physician support is available from multiple cardiologists. In the event of on-call requirements, the cardiologist will contact the sonographer. Clinical informatics support is available for IT-related concerns. The electronic medical record system used is Cerner. Equipment includes Phillips technology. Weekend rotation is expected every third weekend, with additional availability if desired. Call details will be discussed during the interview process. Holiday expectations involve on-call only. Manager approval is required for time off requests. Shift times are typically four 9-hour days per week with rotating weekday off. A schedule cycle of approximately 12 weeks is in place, subject to change.
