the Position We are seeking a skilled Travel Ophthalmic Technician
for a 13-week contract assignment in Connecticut. This position
offers a consistent day shift schedule of four 10-hour shifts per
week. The Ophthalmic Technician will support the ophthalmology team
by performing diagnostic testing, assisting with patient
examinations, preparing patients for procedures, and ensuring
equipment is properly maintained. The ideal candidate is
detail-oriented, clinically competent, and comfortable working in a
fast-paced ophthalmology setting. Key Responsibilities: Perform
diagnostic testing, including OCT, Humphrey Visual Field, Optos,
Pentacam, Applanation, Tear Lab, InflammaDry, Pachymetry, and Argos
Assist physicians during patient examinations and minor procedures
Prepare patients for diagnostic testing and procedures Maintain and
calibrate ophthalmic equipment Accurately document findings in the
medical record Ensure a high standard of patient care and safety
Requirements Active Ophthalmic Technician Certification (COT) AHA
BLS certification (required) Minimum 1 year of recent ophthalmology
experience
