Radiation Therapy License (or equivalent) Certifications: ARRT, BLS

- ARIA (Treatment Record and Management) experience - Previous
travel experience - Traveler must have their own vehicle
Description: Under the administrative direction of the Chief
Therapist and the clinical direction of the Radiation Oncologist,
the Radiation Therapist will assist in the treatment and care of
cancer care patients. The therapist must be able to work
independently. Responsibilities include administering prescribed
radiation treatment, setting necessary factors, and monitoring both
the patient and control panel during treatment. The therapist will
prepare patients in exam rooms and assist the Radiation Oncologist
with medical examinations. They will also prepare patients, rooms,
and equipment for treatment and simulations. The therapist may
inject dye into the skin of the patient as a marker if
demonstration of appropriate training and skills has been provided
to the satisfaction of the Oncologist. May administer contrast
media retrograde into the urinary bladder during simulation.
Performs all necessary calibration on equipment as prescribed by
the Radiation Safety Officer in accordance with the conditions of
therapy license. Observes radiation safety measures for patients
and personnel. Records all patient doses and gathers all
confidential history on patients. Documents all reactions that the
patient may experience and reports findings. Updates patient
examination history files and accurately documents information in
daily log books. Completes procedures and performs scheduling,
consultation, and paperwork as applicable. Requirements Required
